LIST OF RECOMMENDED PERIODICALS FOR THE ELEMENTARY LIBRARY MEDIA CENTER

Having magazines and other periodicals in the elementary library media center gives students access to up-to-date information on a regular basis in a lively, engaging format. A number of excellent periodicals that support the curriculum are published for students. In addition, it is a good idea to subscribe to several high interest titles to lure reluctant readers into the facility and to encourage recreational reading. Rather than ordering from each individual publisher it is recommended that elementary schools subscribe to magazines through EBSCO Subscription Services or W. T. Cox Subscriptions, Inc. A single purchase order can then be issued to order or renew all of the desired publications.
